Sorry, a bit confused. Does that mean spring rifles, spring shotguns, and spring handguns or does that mean spring rifles, and any type of shotguns and pistols (gas, aep, etc.)?
So for a 4 hour game your going to charge me $25, and you might get my car towed?
Oh and to top it all off, its a Walmart gun only game and no drop offs are allowed...
Best of luck with this! I think I'll sit this one out...

Hi Carnalnotions,
I can understand what you're saying...let me clarify a few things.
First off, I'm not charging you anything--I don't work for LIAS. I volunteer my time, just about every week, teaching a safety and orientation class for new players at the field. I posted what I saw on their site. So they would be charging you $25, not me. I'm not sure if you've ever been to Coram, but if you haven't, and I don't remember meeting you, you probably don't have any idea who I am, so you assuming that I work for them would be completely understandable.
Second, regarding the parking situation: If you have ever been to Coram, it would probably be easier to explain, but I'll do my best. Our primary field is adjacent to a dirt road that provides access to the main parking field. In the past, players have parked alongside the road, causing a serious safety issue. The guys at LIAS and Cousins paintball have been working really hard to control the parking situation and keep all the players safe--therefore, the warning that is on the LIAS site and therefore, my post. Your car would only be at risk of being towed if you decided to not follow directions and park illegally.
Finally, I can understand what you're saying regarding the type of game and gun limits...please keep in mind, this is in ADDITION to the normal, weekly games which are every Sunday and feature normal FPS limits and ROE and are pretty well attended, year round. This game was designed for newer players and players who wanted to try something different. (And lets face it, stalking around with a single shot springer or a walmart gun that shoots 40 feet would be "something different" for 99% of the players out there, myself included...I'm not sure I could part with my AK...)
This game is definitely not for everyone--it probably isn't for most of us who post here. However, I'd rather have the kids in my neighborhood running around a secure field with their walmart guns and springers, instead of out on the streets where they could get dead.
Thanks for your input. From your website, your field looks very cool!

Mace - Thanks for the explanation! It clears up all the shady parts of the event posting from the LIAS website. No I have never attended Coram, so we have not met.
I understand the need to get new players out, to build future players and customers. Best of luck with the field and the event.
